Then there’s this headset. I’ve never heard of this brand at all, seemed like cheap garbage but it looked appealing with the metal frame since that should be more durable than plastic. Well that’s not the only benefit, this is the most comfortable headset I’ve ever put on. It doesn’t clamp your head but still stays secure and doesn’t fly off of your head if you move around too quick. The support at the top is amazingly comfortable and hasn’t caused any discomfort so far. No issues with audio coming through my mic now, although I have to have the input volume up as high as possible to sound normal to everyone in servers. No issues with the mute controls, and as an added benefit the remote on the wire has a button to mute your PC audio and it also has volume controls.
TL;DR – Get it, it’s comfortable and perfect for long-term online gaming and voice chat.

As for the product itself, the sound quality for this headset is slightly above average as stated before, I ordered these because with my large head I have a tendency to break the headband on many sets. The metal band on this is flexible and fairly drop resistant, though I wouldn’t say that the feel and look of the adjustable strap gives me much faith that it will last very long under heavy use. The mic is very flexable and light, and produces a surprisingly clear, if slightly bass-y sound transfer, thought the light doesn’t turn off, and can be kind of annoying is dimly lit rooms. Also, this Headset is actually pretty light, and doesn’t cause a lot of fatigue on the head and ears.
Returning to sound quality, be warned, this set is not for people who don’t understand, or aren’t willing to learn, about speaker placement and equalization. Out of the box, sound is VERY loud, and yet also kind of muffled sounding, like a radio on full blast shoved in a suitcase full of pillows. Even completely adjusted I have volume set on 6/100 because it will blast your ears off. The sound quality is easily fixed, if you understand how to properly work an equalizer, and the Surround Sound causes the muffled sound and reverb. This is because their Software requires you to set where the speakers are relative to you in a virtual environment. Its hard to explain in writing, but if you are familiar with setting up entertainment center surround sound systems, or are familiar with sound and acoustic theory, then it shouldn’t be a problem. Otherwise this set could be more work then you are looking for. HOWEVER, if you are able to figure these things out, the set isn’t bad for the money, it just takes some time and effort to provide a comfortable sound. If not, then I recommend the Logitech G35 wired headset over these, even though with my wider cranium I tend to break them in like a year.
