Play League of Legend 60+ FPS…… Passive video card at its best!, March 19, 2015
By
Troy (Northern California) – See all my reviews

So my main goal was to have a quite mid-level gaming machine, that can also do Photoshop. It’s a success without breaking the bank!

Seems to run most mid level games on full FPS, without so much as making a peep.

It comes with brackets to put in a smaller form factor. Obviously I’m using a mid tower (Dell optiplex 9010) so there are no fitment issues. In the picture I’ve attached you can see the heat-sink hangs down a bit and almost blocks the bottom slot.

I paired this with the NoFan CR-80EH IcePipe Fanless CPU Cooler and have eliminated all but a whisper out of the computer. The loudest thing now is the hard drive. (and I have a SSD on order)

You can run duel monitors. Play a game in one screen, and photoshop in the other (like me) with no problems. I’m running 2 DELL U2212HM, at full resolution.

When I bench marked (full load) the card the temp of the GPU rose to 53c, Photoshop it sits right at 35c.

If you are looking for a solid mid-level video card that wont break the bank this might be it. Just don’t expect Titian performance from a passively cooled GT 730

Contrary to description, does not fit in a single slot., June 5, 2015
Verified Purchase(What’s this?)
There are several versions being sold as GeForce GT 730, so just to be clear, this review applies to DDR5 64bit card, part number 02G-P3-3733-KR. The manufacture’s description for this card says:

Dimensions
Height: 2.718in – 69.04mm
Length: 5.7in – 144.8mm
Width: Single Slot

But this is not so. This may be a great card, but it’s heatsink/fan overhangs the next expansion slot. For a typical micro ATX motherboard of the yesteryear that I have (PCI, PCI, PCI-E x1, PCI-E x16), this means loosing the only other PCI-E expansion slot. For me, that slot is already taken by a USB3 card. I need something slimmer, please.

–Update–
I bought a DDR3 version of this card (also with fan), part number 02G-P3-2732-KR, and it fits in a single slot just fine.

Works great. Plays Skyrim with over 100 mods on High setting. 50+ fps outdoors, 75-80+ fps indoors. Great product for a small price.
