Where Do I Start?!

I was mentally committed, and had saved up money to purchase a PS4 just for the release of NHL 15, as i have been an avid EA NHL Series fan for years. Once i heard EASHL was not going to be in the next gen versions, i scrapped my idea of spending the 0.00 it would have taken to get me up and running, and went with the PS3 version for another year.

I thought i played my last game of NHL 14 last weekend and could tuck it away with my other old games, and then i put in the PS3 NHL 15 disc, and i thought i was playing the same game as 14.

Where all of the images, and screen caps i’ve seen of the PS4 version shows new menus, new HUT interface and an overall revised look of the game, the PS3 version is IDENTICAL to the previous years game.. The menu is the same, the interface is the same, the HUT section of the game is identical, EASHL is identical… they literally took last years game, and put a 15 every place there was a 14 on it…

This makes me even more frustrated that EA claims they couldnt put EASHL into the PS4 version, because they obviously spent as little time as possible giving the PS3 version any upgrades or fine tuning. They did change the play by play commentary, but how difficult could that be to apply? And i am as of yet to notice any glaring upgrades in regards to the "living arenas" they so proudly shoved down our throats as a distraction from all of the important modes so many of us love that they neglected to include in the next gen consoles.

I will keep and play the game ONLY because i play EASHL regularly and want to compete with the best the world has to offer (Search for club: Idiot Kids if you want to lose), but if you are thinking about upgrading to NHL 15 from 14, just keep your old one, its the same exact game, only you’re buying it all over again.

EA dropped the ball BIG TIME with this transition into Next Gen hockey. Not only with the PS4 users, but they disappointed us that decided to stick with the PS3 as well. Shame on me for thinking they were ever about anything other than taking our money by the handfuls.

What a rip off. Nhl 15 is literally the exact same as 14. Right from the load screens and menu screens, it’s evident they hardly worked on 14. The only difference is music, toned down version of new ommentators, collisions, puck physics, and the "14" was replaced with "15". This game should be not .

EA has really come to a new low with this one…, September 10, 2014

After hearing about all NHL 15 was supposed to offer I was extremely excited to get all the new features (Living worlds, new menus, revised HUT cards and menus, etc.). So I receive the game and turn it on, to find only the menus are EXACTLY identical to NHL 14. Slightly disappointed already I and headed into the gameplay. Only to find out NOTHING has changed from NHL 14. I literally had to stop to make sure I didn’t accidently put in NHL 14. So for your 60$ extra you can have a roster update, Patrice on the cover instead of Brodeur, along with fairly bland new commentary from Emrick, and of course change all those 14’s to 15’s. This is a nice way for EA to tell us to pack up and move to next gen because they obviously do not care about us ps3 users. So if you really want to play NHL 15 either go next gen or just buy NHL 14 for the ps3 because its the exact same game.
