Update 3/18/13: I bought this for 8 almost 2 months ago. It’s now only . Get it before the price goes up again!

I bought this monitor to accompany my purchase of a Mac Mini (my first Apple product). It came with a VGA in/out cable, but also has a DVI input. Unfortunately for me, the Mac Mini has an HDMI to DVI converter, and no VGA input, so I had to delay my Mac Mini kick off party one day 😉

As for the monitor itself, the screen quality is great. For under 0, this is the best deal on Amazon – the only monitor in this price range with built in speakers, which was a must have for me. I didn’t expect to get BOSE quality speakers. A lot of reviewers say they are bad, but they are not – they lack in power but I’m satisfied with their clarity & quality. When it comes to the speaker connection to the Mac Mini, I can only control the volume from the Mac Mini desktop – whenever I click the up or down volume button on the monitor, the screen times out & tells me to “Check Video Cable.” I’m fine with that, though, because I can still control the volume.

Overall, this monitor is very sleek, easy to assemble, and the position of the screen CAN be adjusted (contrary to the review titled “Lacks Tilt”).

It serves its purpose well. I love walking into my room & seeing it on my desk. It looks so nice!

I won the Battleborn Gaming PC but needed a monitor that I could afford. I love this monitor to a point. The Colors are crisp. The monitor is big enough for me. I love how it tilts so I can see the monitor without straining. The only bad thing about this monitor is the built in speakers suck when I’m watching Netflix. I’ve tried youtube and it’s not that bad.
If you’re not picky on speaker sound then this is for you.

I needed a monitor with built in speakers and that is why I chose the HP W2072a. The ‘picture’ quality is very good and the speakers are just what I expected…tinny sounding. This is not for someone that is depending on their monitor to watch videos, stream movies, etc., etc. I just needed ‘some sound’. The one thing I really like about this monitor above most of the others is that the frame is NOT the shiny black that is around most of them, instead it is a matte black which I wish they would start putting around all of the newer TVs and monitors. Pretty much got what I paid for, I stick with HP products because I have yet to have any problems with any of them.
