So I bought 16 of these assuming the stand and neck could be taken off for a clean wall or hanging install. Well I was wrong. Please note the stand neck does not come off without taking the thing apart. I should have read the reviews and the manual on Sceptre’s site. I don’t quite know what Sceptre was thinking with this design. I would never hang it on a wall with the neck showing so I have some work to do, four of 16 done ugh.

Can’t beat the price. Great quality monitors, I am very impressed. Bezels are a nice size for dual monitors. I paid 100 bucks each for 2 monitors. I can’t believe how great the deal was for quality like this. Absolutely would recommend.

The monitor’s neck cannot be remove without damage to the monitor.
I bought this for the purpose of using the VESA mount and not the base plate. The base plate come unattached and is very easy to install and uninstall. However, the neck that the base plate connects to cannot be removed. I did not realize this until I received the monitor and read the manual (see image). The manual reads "Unfortunately you cannot remove the neck piece." On Sceptre’s website they show the monitor wall mounted without the neck, however removing it yourself may cause some damage. I have not tried it, so I have a dangling neck. Ugly, wish I would have known upfront. This monitor is great otherwise. |
