Great monitor for work. I picked up 2 of these from Best buy (same price as Amazon, Just needed to pay an extra 4 bucks to the California environmental fee). I had ordered 2 of these from an Amazon private seller but he mistakenly shipped me the older model so when I went into town to drop them off at the UPS store to send them back I just went over to Best Buy to see if they had them and they did.
I have the 2 connected to my DELL XPS laptop via a DELL USB docking station. I deal with a lot of spread sheets and many programming windows here at my home office when I’m not out in the field so its a major improvement for me to move from trying to cram all that stuff into a 15" screen. Now I have a lot of screen real estate with now basicly 3 displays. They seem very sturdy and well built. The matte finish is good for me as I have a lot of windows and light coming in so no glare as compared to the glossy finish of my laptop display. I will say though that the black are not as deep as my XPS lap top display and the colors are not a vivid either. But for my use they work out very well. I think if I were using them for watching movies or gamming I would go with different monitor with a high gloss display as they tend to be more vivid in the colors and have deeper black levels from my experience. But for my purpose they work out great so I’m very happy.

This is the perfect size monitor. The HD quality is great. I purchased 2 of these on black Friday spent less than 0. These monitors are way underrated and under priced. The go great in my recording studio! Buy one and see!

really nice screen… love the "on button" – you just pass your finger under it and it turns on…. great for me with my arthritic hands means I don’t have to use any pressure or strength…. all the settings options are the same… LOVE IT!
also screen was way too bright when I first turned it on – but adjusting it to suit my needs was super easy! also – it’s a second monitor for me – I have a Brix – so got a hdmi cable and an hdmi to display port adapter and hooked it up – worked perfectly on arrival! and I run linux on my system too! also – not too hard for me, an old 61 year old woman with arthritis in her hands, to put together… so, most anyone can do it…. Love Samsung – great quality (my other monitor is a Samsung too) |
