It arrived today and I just set it up minus my personal settings. Nice sized laptop. Not an armored tank like my old Dell Latitude was, you’ll want to protect this one, it seems a bit delicate but not too cheap looking or feeling. Luckily it fit my laptop bag just right. After the Dell finally crashed, I bought this one and for my needs, its perfect. It surfs the net pretty quick and definitely happy about that. I haven’t had to wait for anything to load and plays YouTube vids just fine. I like the solid touch pad molded into the case. Touchpad will lag when you first turn on the computer and during set up, but after it comes to life. The screen is glossy, but not as sharp as I hoped, but it’s still better than my old Dell was. I bought the HP X3000 laser mouse to go with it. Overall, I’m happy with it so far. Considering the price (Paid $260 here on Amazon) and the features, I’d say I made a good decision with this computer. Its only been on for about an hour and a half, I’ll post an update. I hope my review helps you in you search for a new laptop.

FYI This is Windows Home. You have to purchase access to Office. I write So I downloaded a free Office program that works with Windows 10. I downloaded Open Office for free. It comes with a drawing program and a presentation program, so there are alternatives to make your capabilities complete.

Update: 10 Hours since turning it on. Unlike my past experiences with new computers, this one hasn’t given me problems. And there are no useless programs to get rid or bloat ware. Big pluses. I like the computer.

Update: 3/10/17: Ive been using it for a few days. Things I like: The indicator lights like that blinking CPU activity light is side mounted along with power indicator light, its also side mounted so the power button is not lighted. The only thing on the keyboard that is lighted is the Caps Lock key. It appears as a glowing dot. That’s nice. No blinking lights to distract me. I also like the roomy, uncluttered look of the keyboard area, whatever its called, and I like the full chicklet keyboard. The computer is growing on me. It has had to “Working on updates, do not shut off your computer” followed by 30 or so minutes of blue screen. Its done this twice since the initial start up. Otherwise, its running well. Its a good size you can watch a movie right on your lap like a personal theater. Ive been using it on my lap, it doesn’t get too hot. The sound is pretty nice. Some media you have to turn the volume all the way up, some not. The sound is good, nice clarity and sounds as if its surround sound, but don’t expect much umph in it.

It’s here! My new HP laptop arrived via UPS this afternoon and I’ve been tweeking the day away installing programs, changing settings and putting all my Favorites back in EDGE browser, thankfully I wrote down all my favorites on a piece of paper as a reference point so it was just a matter of locating all the websites on BING. I’m pretty Happy with the LAPTOP, only things that bother me are 1- it’s got no BLUETOOTH and 2- on the ad it shows that it’s got 2 USB 3.0 and 1 USB 2.0, but it’s actually 1 3.0 and 2 2.0 and also the 3.0 input isn’t Blue as in other Laptops or PC’s. Overall though, the price was low, so it’s worth it. If one just wants to browse the web, read e-mails, see some movies and play some simple games, then this is the Laptop to buy.
