Great little computer after removing bloatware.,
Pros:
-Very small and lightweight. I can easily lift it with one hand.
-Aesthetically pleasing design. I love the purple color and the finish.
-Small design makes it very portable. Easy to fit into backpacks or briefcases.
-Relatively fast computer, takes no time to startup/shutdown.
-Good keyboard
Cons:
-Speakers are pretty quiet and poor quality. Recommend using headphones for watching movies/listening to music.
-Webcam is also subpar and pretty grainy.
-Touchpad can be finicky, using a wireless mouse with it is really easy though.
-32GB hard drive can support the operating system and not much else. That being said, a $20 64GB microSD will resolve this issue.
This computer was kind of slow when I first got it. Here’s what I did to make it fast:
1. Remove ALL bloatware. Uninstall Apple Bonjour, LEAP, McAfee Antivirus, HP Support & Registration, browser extensions, etc.
2. Installed all updates for Windows Update (took almost an hour). Then, disabled automatic updates. Running Windows Update in the background will overload the processor.
3. Installed CCleaner and cleaned up cache/registry
4. Installed Google Chrome and used it instead of Edge/IE
Accessories I bought:
-Logitech Wireless Mouse: Works great with this computer. The little wireless fob discreetly stays in the USB port.
-Evecase works great for taking this computer and accessories on the go.
-64GB microSD card to expand the storage space. I changed the settings so pretty much everything gets saved on there. Doesn’t slow down the computer or saving at all.
Overall, this computer is ideal for school and work, emails, and browsing the internet. That being said, it’s great at doing those things. I think it’s an excellent value for the price!

|The keyboard is fantastic, and I have no issues writing for hours …,
It ships with quite a lot of bloatware, and I’m not computer savvy enough to get rid of all of it. I used information gleaned from other reviewers to remove a lot of what I don’t need, and plan to ask someone at work to go through the rest. I inserted a 16 GB micro SD card from my old Android phone, and deleted everything on the card except for my old pictures. I still have more than enough room for both work and personal items. I use primarily Microsoft Word and Excel, so these programs don’t typically take up much space. The only thing I store on the actual PC are the programs used to run it. If you don’t plan to do the same thing, you’re going to be upset about the storage. With how cheap thumb drives and micro SD cards are, I really don’t see how my storage needs wouldn’t be met.
The keyboard is fantastic, and I have no issues writing for hours on it. The screen could use a little work, but the computer cost two hundred dollars. I have no issues connecting to my home or work wifi. It handles internet browsing and videos very well, but I have to be cognizant of how many programs/internet tabs I have running at once or things start to run a little more slowly. This doesn’t bother me.
If you’re the type of person who is going to ask a lot of a machine, don’t get this one. It’s that simple. I would have liked to get a $1,000 laptop with a touch screen that turned into a tablet, but I didn’t have the money. You’re getting a lot for $200 here, and you won’t be disappointed if you keep realistic expectations.
