This monitor was the perfect size for my desk. I do a lot of gaming and filming, so I wanted a larger monitor for my laptop. (I am currently using a wireless keyboard and mouse, and this monitor, with my laptop working as the tower.) Don’t let the cheap price of this monitor fool you, the pictures it displays are GEORGOUS. Deep and rich blacks, vibrant greens blues and reds, together it is all simply amazing (see attached photos). I used a bit of color calibration, but even before I did that the colors still looked amazing. There is only a DVI and VGA ports, but there are plenty of adaptors if you want to use it for hdmi, like I do. There is no better 100$ monitor out there, I assure you. Also, for gaming, there is no ghosting, the response time is buttery smooth.
It is a bit wobbly. This is strange, because the base is solid, don’t worry about that, it will not fall over or anything, but when you touch it, it wobbles around for a few seconds. The base itself is solid and heavy, but the monitor wobbles. It wasn’t bothersome enough to warrant a star loss, so I’ll still give it a 5 star review. It is not an IPS display, but the viewing angles are still pretty good. There are a few angles that let you see the backlight’s shadow over the screen, leaving a darkened bar over a portion of the display. Those angles are, however, only from awkward angles, like above it and really (I mean REALLY) far below it, so I don’t think it will cause any problems in normal use. Pretty much anywhere that you are eye level with the screen, or a bit above or below, you will see it fine.

NOT an IPS display. However this is an excellent monitor with great clarity and brightness. I wanted an IPS display so I purchased two of these based upon the original Amazon description as an IPS display. I almost kept the monitors because of how clear and bright they were and good build quality for the price point.
I ended up purchasing another IPS display and comparing them side by side. This Asus monitor was quite amazing. If not for the angle that I have my monitors mounted, I would’ve kept these. Includes both VGA and DVI cables. Nice attention to detail since the DVI connection always looks better. You won’t be disappointed at this price point.

These monitors are AWESOME for only 100$ per a monitor. I use 2 for my build, and they are just amazing. I dont use the button features at all, but if you do, they will probably fit your needs well. No lgare, very nice looking, and overall a great monitor for any build, and for the price, its a steal not to buy them 😉
