Awesome Card for Budget Build, August 1, 2012
Verified Purchase(What’s this?)
Let’s face it. If you’re reading reviews for a video card that costs less than , chances are you are not a hardcore gamer. What you are though is someone who is looking for a cheap video card either for a new budget build or to replace the on-board video graphics adapter on a motherboard. Either way, you’ve come to the right product because this video card not only costs little but it performs very well too. What I am using this video card mainly for is video streaming from Youtube and other websites onto my HDTV. I’ve tried both 720p and 1080p video streams and this video card doesn’t even miss a beat. The other awesome feature of this card is the HDMI port. Because I am connecting the computer to my HDTV, it was necessary to get a video card with HDMI. This eliminates the need to connect an audio cable. Yes, I know. The sounds coming out from a HDTV is very weak but that’s my problem, not yours!

The card installs very easily and after downloading and installing the latest driver from Nvidia’s website, the video card was ready to rock and roll in Windows 7. Absolutely not one road block at all. I’ve always been a fan of EVGA products because they have never let me down. Hopefully this trend will continue here.

Does exactly what i wanted with high stability., March 15, 2015

This review is from: EVGA GeForce 210 Passive 1024 MB DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 DVI/HDMI/VGA Graphics Card, 01G-P3-1313-KR (Personal Computers)
Purchased to put in an older system with a dual core AMD Athlon with 8GB DDR2 in August, 2014. I run Linux operating systems only, and the integrated radeon graphics with the AMD processor are awful on Linux.

+ Works great for HD content, which is why i purchased it.
+ Silent!
+ Low temp operation despite passive cooling.
+ Will run some games (Even Borderlands 2 on lowest settings, minimal lag)
+ Perfect Linux compatibility with binary nvidia driver.
– Not 4K resolution capable.

Buy for very light gaming and HD media playback and you will love your purchase!

If you need a gaming card on a budget i have tried and reviewed the EVGA GeForce GT 730 2GB GDDR5 64bit highly as well, it costs compared to this card at at time of this review. It will play any game and give you 10x the gaming experience and supports 4K resolution.

Great Card for your HDMI Needs!, August 17, 2011
Verified Purchase(What’s this?)
I have a media computer in my living room that I have connected to my 73″ DLP.
Great for surfing the Net and streaming movies (no more cable bill).
I had an older TV prior to the 73″ which didn’t have an HDMI port. Getting the new TV forced me to buy this card as I wanted to use HDMI port from the 73″. Unfortunately the MOBO on the computer didn’t have an HDMI port.

This little card did just the trick and works perfectly! Granted I don’t use it for any games whatsoever, so take my 5 star rating based on the HDMI and video performance qualities.

I have uploaded a pic of the 73″ while hooked to my computer surfing the net.

*Review update 4/6/2012*
The card is still functioning fine, however the fan is VERY loud. I have tried to blow it out with air and it’s still noisy. In fact, so noisy that I need to turn up my TV just to drown it out. Going to see if I can exchange it for a new one.
