Silent – fan off during normal operation / no need for PCI-E power connector, December 29, 2016

No PCI-E power connector required , runs cool and fan shuts off during normal 2D operation.
Approximately 25% improvement over R9 270 yet costs less and uses less power. This card is highly recommended for midrange gaming.

Great card for a low budget. (This review is for the 2 fan version that requires external power), May 15, 2017

This review is from: Gigabyte GTX 1050 Ti Windforce OC 4GB GDDR5 128-bit PCI-E Graphic Card (GV-N105TWF2OC-4GD) (Personal Computers)
Very good graphics card they have here. I upgraded from Gigabyte’s GTX 750 ti Windforce edition (the 4 GB model) and paired with my Xeon x5670 and 24 GB of RAM I am able to play everything I throw at this with High to Ultra settings. For example, I am able to max out GTA V (no advanced options on), Wolfenstein: The New Order, Warhammer End Times: Vermintide, Doom (the latest one of course) among quite a few other games at 1080p, 60 FPS or higher. If you want to play newer games at high settings without spending at least several hundred dollars on just the GPU alone, then you should definitely get this graphics card. I went with the larger version with 2 fans that requires external power, because, of course, the beefier cooler, and in most cases the cards that use external power can get better overclocks, and in all cases you can overvoltage them far better as an external power connector can always deliver more power than the pci-e slot. I didn’t do too well in the silicon lottery with this one, I wasn’t able to get huge overclocks like with my old 750 ti, but even with a mild overclock this thing destroys my old GPU, runs quieter and cooler, and uses less power. This card is also sexy, it looks fantastic as well as having a backplate. I am extremely happy with this graphics card, and I swear by Gigabyte products, as always they are fantastic. One thing to note about the FTW edition, it’s quite long and takes up a bit more than 2 slots with the cooler, about twice as long as my old 750 ti Windforce so keep that in mind if you are thinking of buying this, it could conflict with things you already have in your mother board such as sound cards or NICs, and if your case is smaller lengthwise it may not fit. If your case is for instance, micro atx and not a mid tower or larger, go with the smaller version that has a single fan.

I have always been a Radeon buyer with my last card being a R7 200 series 2g. My gaming consists of Blizzard games (WoW, OW, HotS, and Diablo) which aren’t too demanding for decent settings. Since installing the card, I have been able to crank up the settings (9 in WoW, Ultra in OW) while maintaining decent FPS (60). Great introdution to Nvidea and it was a breeze to install. I installed it on my lunch break from work and still had plenty of time to eat and get a QP game in. I did take a star away due to the fan being pretty loud but it’s not a dealbreaker for me since I use my headset most of the time.
