A very simple turn based strategy game using infantry, snipers, tanks, bazookas, scouts (you get the picture) against the computer player (or another if you use the on line mode) engaged in a battle to take over territory and revenue producing oil wells.
Your short little soldiers move across circles (like a grid) on the map to eliminate your opponets. After moving your troops and equipment forward they can fire upon the opposite player and inflict damage or casualties. Of course the same holds true for your opponet so be careful where you move and how you approach your goal. Cartoonish in design the graphics are simple but cute. Just enough work put into them to easily identify your troops. Symbols at the top of helmets identify troops as medics, scouts, etc. Understand that although this is turn based strategy it isn’t quite as free wheeling as some may like it. There isn’t really any stealth approaches or sneak to the rear and attack from behind type moves. You move your men forward and overcome with added men and firepower and overwhelm. Granted there are about 50 skirmish scenarios in which you’re battling around islands so it is feasable to launch your men in a transport and disembark on another shoreline or from behind but not too often. So not really ‘strategy’ in the sense of the word. Just a lot of patience and watching where you move and uusing the right type of until to accomplish the job. All this with ‘funny’ (actually corny) dialouge each time your soldiers are moved or fire on your opponet. Troops generated from your barracks pop out always singing a corny little ditty based on the old “I don’t know but I’ve been told’ cadence. Your general is portrayed as walking around with a cigar clemched in his teeth, hence the ERSB Teen rating because of ‘tobacco use’and a buxom, hot pants wearing female in a uniform provides midly suggestive comments from the general and his sergeant aide de camp. All in all something to goof around with that requires a little effort on your part as far as winning goes without having to really deleve deep into real tactics on the battlefield. I paid nine dollars for this game and I see that Amazon has some available for four dollars. It’s worth investing that measley amount to add this to your collection. As I said….not terrifically complex but a lovely little time waster.

Great game, perfect blend and balance, looks great too. I don’t usually like strategy type games but this one got me hook, line and sinker!
