Wireless Bluetooth Gamepad Game Controller IWAWA Joypad Joystick for Android/ iOS /PC/ Tablet / TV BOX /3D VR Games Reviews

This wireless Bluetooth gamepad game controller is an excellent controller for android devices. I didn’t have any problems connecting my Samsung galaxy s7 edge or Samsung note 5 via Bluetooth. This gamepad also connects and works well with all devices supporting iOS. The gamepad has all the buttons needed to play any game, it’s almost like a console controller but for mobile devices. The controller has a nice built quality and the buttons are very responsive with a slight touch. You can recharge this device via a micro USB cable and it gets about 8 hours of use on a single charge which is really nice if you are going on a road trip. This controller is also very useful if you have big hands. The aspect of this controller is great because the flap in the middle goes up for you to place any smartphone device and able to lock it in place. There are 3 game modes for this device, it works as a gamepad for playing games, media mode ( which is excellent if you have a virtual reality headset to control the movies and music you listening to when your phone is inside of the VR headset) and iCADE mode which is for iOS devices to connect to. Overall this a wonderful device and it is a must have if you use a VR glasses because you use this gamepad to play games and do much more.

Original review: 1.5 hours pouring over the short and cryptic instructions and I still haven’t managed to get a single IOS iCADE game to work. I’ve tried every key combination and pairing but no app responds as if this is an icade controller. Perhaps there is a way, but without proper instructions, nothing.

Update: iWawa support was very good and helped me to get things up and running, but from what I can tell it is still very much an issue of it depending on the individual game and a good dose of experimentation. For example, I’ve had luck using power+X instead of using power+A in some cases. Other times entering iCade on a game that claims to have iCade support is the wrong move and the controller works without entering a special mode.

The feel is solid and the phone mount is a nice feature. The staggered layout of the thumb sticks seems to work fine in practice. Charging was quick and seems to last. My only issue remaining with the controller is the lack of solid instruction, an explanation up front that iCade may not always be 100%, and a better LED indicator on the controller that tells you what mode it is in (the blinking blue is not enough).

The controller supports Bluetooth 3.0 which allows fast response times and allows wireless operation 6-30feet and a little bit above if your fine with a little latency (slow response). This is compatible with Android/iOS/ windows phone/Bluetooth-compatible PC but my tests are based on using my HTC 626s. It has a 400 mah lithium polymer battery which will allow you to use this for years without significantly decreased operation time (40Hrs). Charging is done with an USB port (you have to buy or use existing) that is found under the folded phone mount.

My use of the controller was quite confusing and frustrating. I didn’t know when it was finished charging or when it was even ready to sync. But when syncing is shown by blinking blue led and when synced its off and mode lights green. In my case, I needed no special button combinations but for ios, you will need to press X+Power. But to use the controller is so fluid spite the cheap buttons. The joysticks are so smooth and it has a full LT RT LB RB or R1 R2 and L1 L2. Most small controllers have just the top buttons. D-pad feels nice as well. The phone mount can fit a phone up to 5.5inches or 98mm wide and has soft pads on the inside to prevent scratching your device.

Gameplay was solid and extremely fun. Most controller compatible games allow you to configure buttons to game actions. This has the same amount of buttons as a Xbox controller fully equipped with dual joysticks with a button press and full shoulder buttons you can use this controller for all gamepad compatible games. The game delay is extremely small. Minecraft runs really well with this gamepad, but it should work well with a range of games. I just wish they could have at least added a USB cable and a power brick to make themselves stand out. You will have to buy a USB cable if your an all apple fanatic .

Overall this is a nice game pad for the price and works reasonably well, the seller discloses all information and the information is valid. This would be great for your hands-free VR headset for your phone allowing you to really play games and take full advantage of your VR headset. By that aswell I mean a generic google cardboard that is hands-free . I would recommend this product.
