I have the 2002 version and I did not know this was a 2014 version until I got it. The 2014 version is much better and has the upgraded sounds along with more displays for scores. It is very solid and good construction. It does not feel cheap, but retails for only around if you can find one… It brought back the childhood memories with modern electronics integrated in the new one. I would definitely recommend this one for anyone looking to take a stroll down memory lane of the late 70’s and early 80’s electronic games. You will not be disappointed with this purchase!

This is one of the best basketball games on the market, It is so much fun and addictive. I had this in 1980, This version is way better. I love the handheld games, I have the baseball and the football games also. I really like the volume button on the new ones, I travel a lot and I will be taking my games with me to pass the time in the airport. I was on a flight a few days ago and this man that sat next to me had the football game, It passes time because they are so much fun to play. I am so glad they brought the games back, If the hockey games come out I will buy it.

I have three of these in addition to two Mattel classic versions. Both types are very similar but I like the screen view of the Mattel better. I play with the sound off so that I don’t disturb others but the clicking of the buttons is too loud.
Almost all my baskets are at a 45 degree angle for three pointers. It’s difficult to get any other type of shots. Many young kids don’t seem to like this retro type of electronic game. When I was a kid, I thought these games were the coolest thing. |
