Preordered this in June so it took a few weeks after release to arrive however it was well worth the wait. Let me just say I’m glad I didn’t fold and buy other cards. MSI, Gigabyte, EVGA I’ve heard most have poor QA and some of the parts feel cheap and or not worth the price.
It is the total opposite with this Asus 1070. As soon as you take the card out of the box it feels RIGHT. From the cooler, to the backplate, RGB lighting with the custom Tweak 2/AURA tools included this card is a beast. I must’ve spent a good 20 minutes just playing with the colors. Tested games: Battlefield 4, Doom, Star Wars Battlefront Pros:

Received my ASUS GeForce GTX 1070 8GB ROG STRIX OC Edition this morning, the card is a monster in size and I had to move my HD cage to get the card to fit. I had an issue launching the GeForce Experience program after installing the latest version off the ASUS website so I did some research and found this is a common issue. Fortunately it’s a quick fix, do clean install (run as administrator) of the 368.69 drivers from the nVidea website and the software runs perfect.
The card is blazing fast and my 3D Mark test results are very impressive. The card is east to run in either Silent, Gaming or OC mode using the GPU Tweak tool. I was surprised to see the fans not spinning when playing World of Warships in OC mode but when I checked the GPU temp it was still under 60 degrees C. I had to run a stress test to finally get all 3 fans to spin and even then the card is extremely quiet. I was lucky enough to lock this in early through Amazon so I got it set retail price which is a lot cheaper than what I’m seeing in being sold for on other sites. THANK YOU AMAZON!

Phenomenal card. Seriously, this card is amazing.
Pros: I’ve thrown every game I can think of on the highest quality (The Witcher 3, League of Legends, WoW, Diablo 3, Overwatch, Hitman: Absolution) and all have had consistent 60+ FPS, average of 72 on Hitman-Absolution’s benchmark. Cons: This card is huge. Not so much of a con… but I would suggest putting this card into a standard ATX case, and nothing smaller. !!IMPORTANT – If you have Windows 10 and are having boot looping issues after installing the card, remove your graphics card and use the disk provided with the this card to install the drivers first. Do NOT install "GPU Tweak II with Xsplit Gamecaster". It WILL BSOD Windows 10 (IOMAP64.dll). Nothing huge, just annoying :^) Other than that, I haven’t had any issues with this graphics card. The initial installation and such took some time and effort, but it was well worth it! |

2k 144Hz Dell S2716DG G-Sync 90-144 FPS all run SMOOTH!!
OC’ed mine to a 2098 Mhz Core, 9566 Mhz Memory Clock, 55C, 70% fan
Pros:
RGB lighting
Tweak 2/AURA tools
Custom cooler
Overall design and backplate
Competitively priced(Got mine for 439.99$)
Best OC 1070 out there as of right now.
Cons:
Size(very large, need a big case for this(current 900D)
Drivers need install from Nvidia website as soon as its installed(1070 didn’t show up in my system until I did)
Out of the box, the fans don’t turn on until a certain heat temp is reached 30C I believe it was (I thought mine was defective until I used Tweak tool)

It looks nice, and well made.
There is a guard on the back of the card, which makes it super convenient since you can touch the back of the card without worrying about touching the circuit board.
Cons: This card is huge. Not so much of a con… but I would suggest putting this card into a standard ATX case, and nothing smaller.
I measured it to be about 11.5″ long, and 4″ wide.
