Works as expected. One can charge the batteries by themselves on the charger without having them connected to a controller. Love the fact that it takes minimal space and it is somewhat aesthetically looking. Please be aware there is no trickle charge feature so ensure that the batteries are not left for an extended period of time.

*** It has been almost two years, and although I have seen many negative reviews, my experience has been the total opposite. I still can charge the batteries with or without the controller. Just make sure if you put the batteries by themselves, you give it a nudge down. The batteries still hold approximately 3-4 four hours of gameplay. Our family usage: the controllers with the batteries gets used daily! Yes about four hours of game play daily. I have used it with the Xbox One, Xbox One S controllers, and XBOX One Elite Controllers. They are a tight fit for some of the controllers. Most of the time rechargeable batteries last about a year. I have received more usage than that. And yes most probably will have to order new battery packs here shortly. Please understand that -that is an inherent issue with rechargeable batteries.
–So after, over a year and half of usage, I am highly satisfied with the product. The only reason that it does not get five stars, is because it does not have a trickle charge feature.

I loved this for a very brief time because you can actually charge the batteries without the controller being attached, so one can charge while you use the other. But after having this for a couple weeks, I had one battery at full charge, played battlefield for say 4 hours and had to switch, then played for another 2 hours on the supposedly full battery while the other was charging and that battery was already dying. So essentially they don’t last for any reasonable amount of time. Find a different one.

Simple as anticipated. Giving this 2 stars as it was way too "touchy" when it came to the charging. As I drained the battery and charged it for the first time, the dock would go green insinuating it was charged when I knew it wasn’t. The slightest millimeter of movement put this thing from on the charging dock properly to not. It works, but it’s touchy and that annoyed me. Not enough to return it.
