Great for a non-gaming PC, June 29, 2013
Verified Purchase(What’s this?)
I needed to connect a second monitor to an office PC, but its on-board video only had one monitor connection. I needed a cheap solution and this card seemed like it would fit the bill.

Card installed with no issues. I downloaded the latest drivers from nVidia and was up an running in a few minutes. It requires no additional power from the system and the fan is very quiet.

So long as you live within the expectations of this card, you will be satisfied. Understand that this is not a card for playing Modern Warfare or Call of Duty with anywhere near decent performance. It’s simply a cheap replacement card that is a step or two above your standard on-board video. With that in mind, the card excels at it’s intended purpose. It has no problems driving a pair of 1920×1080 widescreen monitors used for office work, Internet surfing, watching videos and your standard facebook games.

Awesome graphics card, August 26, 2013

As far as gaming goes I think a lot of people are picky. Gamers always want more, but if your on a serious budget and stuck with integrated graphics or something similar than this is totally worth the buy, even if you do consider yourself a hard core gamer. I have managed to get all my games working much better (mostly medium settings) with way better framerates, ect. I even got my GTA 4 running on Medium settings in 720p with nearly flawless gameplay, which is a huge improvement over my old integrated Radeon HD 4250 with the lowest settings possible, super low resolution, and using GameBooster just to get it to a playable state. My other games include: Dead Island, Diablo II, Dishonered, Fable – The Lost Chapters, Fallout 3 & New Vegas, RollyCoaster Tycoon 3, Oblivion & Skyrim, & Spore all of which I’ve gotten to work with this card under low-medium settings with little to no performance issues, and without the need for random patches, ect. I had to use in the past to get these games working under my integrated graphics. You still may have trouble with a lot of the modern games. but it’s better than 99% of integrated graphics I’ve ever seen, and again if your on a tight budget it’s more than worth it in my opinion..

Also I’ve noticed a lot of performance increase while using programs like Premiere, Flash & Photoshop CS6. There were always a lot of issues with various bugs, like freezing up when a project gets too big or I have too many windows open, ect. that I haven’t seen since I got this card.

For those of you who, like me, hadn’t installed a graphics card over integrated graphics, make sure you first (before installing the card) boot into safe-mode, and disable your integrated driver (Right click my computer–>properties–>go to device manager in the left panel, under display adapters–> right click your driver and disable (WIN7))

That being said, if your computer has a 400w+ power supply, I think you can get more performance out of the Radeon cards in the same price range. A lot of pre-built machines, like mine, have 300w power supply which this card supports, and the Radeon ones don’t. If your not sure, search your computers make & model in Google and find the specs.

Nice card after install problems resolved…., December 20, 2012

This review is from: EVGA GeForce GT 610 2048MB GDDR3, DVI, VGA and HDMI Graphics Card 02G-P3-2619-KR (Personal Computers)
I currently have an older HP dc5800mt business desktop running Windows 7 64bit. After installing this card, the graphics looked much better but my ONBOARD audio no longer worked. When I contacted the manufacturer, it seems that this was a common problem. We tried disabling the NVIDIA HDMI drivers in the device managers but when I tried to reinstall the audio driver for the onboard chip — it would not install due to problems with the hardware configuration. After internet searching, I learned that for some reason when the card is installed, the ONBOARD AUDIO chip could be DISABLED in BIOS. So…I checked the BIOS upon system startup and found that this happened and switched it back on. The audio driver installed without a problem, the sound came back and everything works great!
