I am a huge sports fan and have been playing sports games for over 20 years. This was my first MLB game for the PS4 and I have to say that I was sufficiently pleased.
First off, let me say that I personally think that 98% of next/current gen games underperform when it comes to graphics, and although this game is obviously better than it’s PS3 counterpart, I do believe the graphics could be more realistic, texture especially skin texture is still a big area that needs to be worked on. As far as the game play itself, I have to say that overall it is very good. The mechanics and movement of the players is better than I have seen in an MLB game. I have seen everything from acrobatic catches to pitchers getting dropped by a ball hit right back at them and the realistic things that happen in this game make it a true joy to play. Currently I am playing Road to the Show mode. I do have to say that at times it seems like the game is scripted, and some situations/games just seem to be unwinnable no matter what you do. This has proven to be a bit frustrating, especially when your player suddenly can’t hit anything and you go 0 for 5 for several games in a row, even though your average is in the .400’s In the end, I would definitely recommend this game, even with the frustrations that it has caused, I assume those are programmed in to make the game seem more realistic as sometimes no matter how hard you try, nothing seems to go your way. And this game truly is entertaining and the replayability is extremely high, and in the end, isn’t that the whole point of a game? Great game, By

This game is good. No complaints here could receive 5 stars but I gave it 4 due to the fact you have to spend points to get items for your players and you have to be online to spend them so when I can get online almost all of my time is spent buying items like a better bat and glove for my player than playing. I wish that they would’ve made items available to purchase offline like give us an offline store instead of online
