Great Card. Runs Cool., August 5, 2016

This review is from: MSI GAMING GeForce GTX 1060 6GB GDDR5 DirectX 12 VR Ready (GeForce GTX 1060 ARMOR 6G OC) (Personal Computers)
I upgraded to this card from (2) Radeon HD 6950’s in crossfire. All I can say is video cards have come a long way since 2011. This card blows my previous cards away. My first test was a highly modded Skyrim with ENB. Silky smooth 60fps in vync running a 1080p display. I tested without the ENB / vysnc activated and was getting 80-100 fps. The temps on this are insanely cool compared to my 6950 xfire setup. My top 6950 card would reach 88-90 degrees. The GTX 1060 hit 60 degrees after about an hour of gaming.

On a side note; I wish people would stop giving low scores in the reviews based on price. I bought this card for 9 on Amazon. Yes, I probably overpaid for it. But the simple fact is; is that these cards are difficult to find in stock. It’s the laws of supply and demand. If you think it’s too much, don’t buy it. But don’t give it 1 star because of the price. Besides this card performs on par with the GTX 980 which still costs more. I’m done venting. Thanks.

Runs amazing! quiet and fast, July 21, 2016
Ordered this for a build for someone and received it today after release on the 19th. Currently its inside a Enthoo Pro M case, running stock fan curve and this thing runs whisper quiet. Overclocked it to 2100mhz so far and it doesnt break a sweat. Highest Ive seen the temps go is 53 degrees. Benchmarks over 11300 with 6600k @ 4.4. Great card…only issue is the gpu sag, its a pretty hefty card and does create some sag..but wont knock a star off for that, most new Aftermarket cards do.

Great Card, August 10, 2016

The gaming X addition is working great. I had one issue, not the fault of the card and you might have it too if you are putting this into an older mobo. My mobo is from 2012 and I couldn’t boot up with it until I updated my bios to the most recent version available, a 2014 version. After that everything worked / works perfectly.

A lot of people are complaining about the price, when amazon itself has this in stock they are selling it for 9.99. Remember this is the gaming x addition, which will always sell for a bit more than the regular gaming edition. If you look around you will see it is a fair price. Don’t blame the product for third parties trying to sell it well above this.
