I really liked "Hot Wheels: Beat That!" for the Xbox 360. It was a fun "Mario Kart" type of experience (tons of different tracks, power-ups, etc.). This game is nothing like "Hot Wheels: Beat That!". It’s a really unpolished attempt at a racing simulator. The Hot Wheels brand should be fun, colorful, wide open, and most importantly, fun. This game misses all of the marks.

When you start the game, you’ll be introduced to different modes and gameplay instructions with poorly developed loading screens and terrible voice acting. That’s the first sign that this is truly a rushed budget title aimed at cashing in on the Hot Wheels franchise. When you actually start playing, the controls are absolutely horrible, and you’ll find yourself fighting to keep your vehicle on the track, more than you are actually trying to enjoy the game, and complete the task at hand.

Level after level, the mechanics get worst. There is no sense of speed. The visual effects are half backed. The commentary is repetitive and horribly done. This game truly has no redeeming qualities, besides the Hot Wheels branded cover art.

If you’re a fan of Hot Wheels, or, you’re looking to purchase this for a kid that likes the brand/collects the cars, steer clear of this one. You’d be better off picking up "Hot Wheels: Beat That!". Or, nearly other racing title on the market. This is one of the worst games that I’ve played in a long time.

1 / 5 Stars.

I’m not to fond of this game, but my nephew loves the game, and that is all that matters really. I got it so he had something to play when he visits. He is about 9-10 years old, so if you have a kid that age, I am sure he will love it.

World’s Worst Driving Game, May 14, 2016
This review is from: Hot Wheels World’s Best Driver – Xbox 360 Standard Edition (Video Game)
My 10 year old bought this for from Toys ‘R Us. He was so excited and wanted to race with his brothers as soon as he got home….

Would have been nice if he could. After spending 40 minutes looking online to figure out how to turn on multiplayer and not finding any answers (no info in the booklet that comes with the game) and another 20 minutes searching within the game we finally found it. You have to go to a challenge and press ‘Y’ Hot Seat mode and you can add extra players.

However there are no races in the game and multiplayer is not split screen. The game consists of a large amount of short challenge tracks and players take turns trying to beat each other’s scores rather than play side-by-side.

Also the driving controls are very difficult.

My son is extremely disappointed and sad he wasted his own money on such a lousy game.
